Here’s a little music video I made during the height of the Covid lockdown for my friends Dance Lessons. Shot from a safe distance with real life couple Gbari Gilliam and Shantel Ureña, whose dance talents I discovered by hunting online.

There was no way to bring together a crew at this time, so I just shot it myself on my iPhone. It was a really fun challenge to try and do every role on set myself, and kept me busy and creative at a time when professional filming had been forced to grind to a halt.

Plus, I was able to shoot in areas of LA that are usually bustling with crowds and street performers, but were deserted because of the pandemic, so I was excited to grab this unique opportunity to capture them against these colourful backdrops.
