Sarah is an award-winning filmmaker hailing from England. A go-to director for brands such as Adidas, Nike, Samsung, Baileys, BodyArmor and New Balance, she is best known for her bold visuals and powerful soundscapes. She creates stories which inspire an emotional reaction, creating visually striking images that flow with a unique rhythm and energy.
Sarah trained as a dancer before pursuing her true passion in filmmaking. This early immersion in the world of dance laid the foundations for a directing path which would be rich in music, movement and energy. Her passion for music videos kicked off her directing journey. With early influences ranging from Chris Cunningham and Nick Knight to Tom & Jerry, she created unique visual worlds for artists including Lykke Li, Little Mix, Lil Wayne, Snoh Aalegra and Lily Allen. Amassing over a billion views on YouTube and winning her awards for Best Pop Video and Best New Director at the UK MVAs.
This flair for visual style soon had her tapped by leading fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent to create artistic films for their collections. Her fashion films have been screened in museums and galleries worldwide, and she’s participated in multiple Fashion Film Festival panels to discuss her work. iD magazine called her ‘a new heroine of the directing world’.
Her unique take on the human experience has made her in-demand for brands encompassing sports, fashion, tech, beauty, luxury and beyond. Many world-class athletes and celebrities have trusted her eye to make them shine off the screen, including Carrie Underwood and James Harden in a recent Super Bowl commercial. Sarah is known for her meticulous attention to detail from prep through to final delivery. Creative directors, producers and clients such as Adidas frequently return to her for repeat collaborations. She was recently shortlisted for a Clio Award for her latest film with Adidas, whilst her eye-popping Allianz film scooped Best Cinematography at the Kinsale Sharks.
